Origin[]
William J. Simmons was the founder of the second Ku Klux Klan, founding it Thanksgiving Day 1915 on Stone Mountain, burning crosses.
Effects[]
When not work or restrained, it animates itself, moving like a stereotypical ghost, seeking a wearer. When it finds someone, it forcibly attaches itself and takes control of the wearer. While Worn it amplifies feelings of hatred to an insane degree and builds of the wearers fears and insecurities. The wearer also gains the ability to cast balls of fire by draining heat from the surroundings. When it's neutralized, it can be safely removed from the victim, who likely will be hypothermic at that point.
Agents have reported that this artifact seems to try and move when people pass close to it, appearing only to be kept down by the neutralizer field.
Storage and Handling[]
This artifact is stored in the Dark Vault and is neatly folded on its pedestal.
Neutralizer gloves are mandatory. If the neutralizer field is disabled for any length of time, be cautious when next entering the Dark Vault. Soak with neutralizer and return it to its podium, folding it neatly. If moving out of the field, move it quickly into a neutralizer box to prevent it from self-animating.
