Origin[]

Though accounts of small ornamental humanoids in gardens can be dated back to the 17th century, it was Sir Charles Isham who first introduced them to the UK and subsequently the rest of the Western world. Though they may have first represented fertility, in modern times the gnome has taken on a more whimsical role. Frequently holding fishing rods or in other comical poses, the garden gnome has become a somewhat tacky addition to many estates.

This doesn't stop people from loving them, however. In April of 2015, Ron Broomfield from the UK died, leaving behind a collection of over 1800 gnomes, this curiosity among them.

Effects[]

When actively searched for, this gnome is nowhere to be found. It can physically vanish from its last known location. It can only be found accidentally, at which point it can be interacted with and shown to others. As soon as it is unobserved or untouched for a moment, it's effects come back into play.

Because of this it is impossible to properly shelve. It is only possible to record sightings to ensure it's still in the Warehouse, and it has been removed from all inventory lists to allow it to be cataloged.
