Exact origins unknown. May have been tied into the Tangiwai Railway Disaster of 1953.

When in the proximity of the owner of the ornament, the surrounding people find peace and understanding, disbanding arguments instantly and loving one another.

However, the owner of the ornament must endure a constant stream of unfortunate events that not only break the owner's spirit, it can also kill them, if the ornament is not destroyed and or neutralized.
