Origin[]
Theophilus Carter was a furniture dealer who supposedly invented an alarm clock bed that would tip a sleeping person out into cold water. However, his greater claim to fame is being the unofficial inspiration for Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter.
Illustrator John Tenniel discovered his habit of standing in doorways wearing a top hat and apron while at his Oxford shop, and modeled the exaggerated nose and chin on Carter’s own. No records can be found whether this is the actual way events went or if author Lewis Carroll was any way involved.
Effects[]
A person will constantly relive the same day, perfectly recreating the setting. But as every day passes, people around the user will become increasingly odd and erratic to the point they may seriously injure the user.
