Origins[]
The Wishing Table and The Gold-Ass form a trio of stories by the Brothers Grimm. The third, The Cudgel in the Sack, details the third son's gift from his apprenticeship: a sack that contains a cudgel which will violently beat anyone that has wronged the third son when he opens the sack. He tricks a greedy innkeeper to search the bag and suffer until he returns everything he stole from the three brothers.
Effects[]
When opened, the cudgel swings around and violently clubs anyone nearby. Will chase the victim relentlessly until knocked out; targets first the person who has been most harmful to the owner. It can be de-activated by saying "cudgel in the sack".
