Origin[]
Early Taoist monks accidently created gunpowder while trying to find an ingestible substance for immortality, some working directly under the request of seventh Han Emperor Wu. Although their concoctions did not extend life, they quickly discovered its properties were better suited for demolition and, unfortunately, warfare.
Effects[]
When any of the gunpowder comes into contact with particulate matter, such as dirt, sand, gravel and even loose rubble, said matter will transform into an equivalent mass of gunpowder. This new gunpowder requires temperatures several hundred degrees higher than typical gunpowder to ignite, though the eventual explosive reactions are much bigger and long-lasting.
