Origin

Sulla was a Roman general who held the role of consul twice and helped revive the position of dictator. Sulla was awarded a grass crown during the Social War against formerly allied cities. A grass crown, made of indigenous plant materials, was the highest and rarest form of Roman military honor. It would only be awarded when an individual’s actions saved an entire legion or army.

Sulla became dictator for approximately two years, where he served as the absolute authority of the Roman Republic. He unconstitutionally invaded Rome twice against his enemies, while the army proved faithful to him. Sulla’s reforms of the government and constitution were achieved through military loyalty, setting a precedent for future would-be emperors to ascend to power through force.

Effects

When worn, phantom Roman soldiers will be created. They will be unable to be touched, but they can interact with and harm the environment when the user commands it. They will prove completely loyal and subservient to their leader, who will become greedier and desire to take anything they desire.
