Origin[]
Steven Jay Russell successfully escaped prison multiple times through ingenuity, but was recaptured each time due to his showiness. He is currently serving a 144-year sentence of near solitary confinement, unable to physically plan an escape but still mentally keen. As a gay man, Russell was fired from his first job and committed fraud on his old boss. His crimes were intended to pamper his lover, each escape an attempt to embrace him again.
Russell continued committing fraudulent activities and getting caught, each time pulling off some scheme to get out. Dressing as a female guard to escape the cell block. Calling as his parole officer to lower bail while under hospital guard. Coloring his overalls with marker to pass for surgical scrubs of a visiting doctor. Even reading extensively enough to fake the symptoms of AIDS, claiming his research showed outside treatment was necessary. Almost every trick he pulled required intensive studying of the subject, and role-play preparation as law enforcement.
Effects[]
Blends the wearer into the situation they are entering, allowing them to move with confidence and some preparation. Dissipates the trepidation of failure and allows them to focus on the task at hand. Can also make the user less recognizable as themself. People will not remember what they looked like last or where they’re supposed to be normally. Allows you to easily slip past any suspecting guard. But breaks down all self-control. Once accomplished, impulse will take over their actions instead of the careful planning from before. May lead to direct confrontations that result in being marked as a sneak.
