Origin[]

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the one mile wide, three mile long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. This links the American cities of San Francisco to Marin County. Smog, a type of air pollutant, tends to cover the bridge along with fog which rolls off the nearby mountains flowing across the bay. The smog is from the cars and other vehicles that use the bridge daily about thirty to forty thousand drivers.

Effects[]

One of the many steel rivets which were used to build the bridge absorbed the toxins from the cars and when combined with fog makes the smog even more toxic. Releases toxins into rolling fog.

Collection[]

The rivet was discovered leaking smog on the concrete base of the bridge. It was located at the same time the Femur Bone was discovered.
