Appearance

A fairly fancy-looking chess board. The corners have the same androgynous figures that are found on a God Tier Clocks. The board itself alternates between ebony and ivory like a traditional board, while the sides are sky blue.

The pieces resemble traditional chess pieces. The "black" pieces are violet-colored which represents Derse, while the "white" pieces are gold which represents Prospit.

Creation

The board and its pieces were written into existance by Marie Guichon before being delivered to Aden Taylor and Juan Horado, who proceeded to play.

Collection

The board and its pieces were brought in by Agent Taylor a short time before the Marie Guichon incident. Before this point, ten others, all of whom would become founding members of the Ascendere, played the board and succeeded.

Abilities

When a person sits and plays Prospit's (White) side, the Derse (Black) side will immediately launch into a hyper aggressive strategy, seeking to defeat the player by any means possible. The player will be forced to cheat or otherwise prevent Derse from advancing in order to win successfully.

The few who manage to succeed will be granted a unique powerset known as "God Tier powers". These powers are determined by their given "Class" and "Aspect" out of a set of twelve each and depending on the player's personality. These people are identified as Risen Ones.

Those who fail get nothing but shame in the fact that they lost to a semi-sentient chessboard.

Trivia

• All Risen Ones are required to register with the Ascendere upon ascending. For this reason, a GPS tracker has been attached to the board.
