Origin[]
Seung-Hui Cho (1984 - 2007) was a South Korean expatriate spree killer and mass murderer who killed 32 and wounded 17 when he went on a rampage at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), in Blacksburg Virginia. Cho killed himself after police breached the doors of the building where the majority of the shooting had taken place. In middle school he was diagnosed with a severe anxiety disorder with selective mutism, as well as major depressive disorder. During the last two years leading up to the event there were several instances of his abnormal behavior that drew red flags including references to violence in plays and other writings he turned in to teachers.
