Origin[]
Suspected to have been created during an Easter hunt, a common holiday activity involved with finding treats (usually eggs). Warehouse attention was caught when a woman was arrested for assaulting her husband and children. Allegedly they had been stealing her chocolate rabbit every time she went to eat it, even in cases where it wouldn't be possible. She was admitted into psychiatric care when she told officers that "the rabbits were all making fun of her" and her family "was in on it".
It took agents a full day to identify and capture the artifact.
Effects[]
When in the presence of someone who intends to eat it, the rabbit will vanish and reappear somewhere "safe" as soon as it is unobserved. This has been reported to happen even if the rabbit is in a person's hands at the time. If eye contact is maintained the artifact cannot escape, although it will give off slight tremors as if in fear.
A successful bite has been taken out of the rabbit on one occasion, causing the artifact to "panic". It vanished for several days and reappeared with the foil folded back up and seemingly in one piece. This potential regeneration effect has not been further tested as agents were said to "feel sorry for the poor thing".
Any handling must be done by a person who has never activated the artifact before, as it seems to remember people who have wanted to eat it in the past. Vanishings around such people tend to happen more immediately and hiding spots are further away.
