Origin[]
The Warehouse was first alerted to an incident in Chastity, Idaho; a small town with a population of only 2,400, after the opening of a new funfair near the outskirts of the town had caused a degree of consternation among the older, more religiously conservative residents, although it was very popular among the younger generations. Of particular note was the "Tunnel of Love" attraction, which elicited several small but vocal protests from those claiming it was encouraging inappropriate behavior among the youth.
This came to a head some months after the fair opened, when a fire broke out in the ride, damaging it and some of the surrounding attractions. Though the total amount of damage was minimal, the fair was closed for several weeks to allow for repairs. Though it finally re-opened, to much delight and contempt from the younger and older generations respectively, it would quickly shut down again for good after several incidents involving the infamous tunnel ride, culminating in the deaths of three young couples.
Warehouse agent Tony Martins arrived on the scene the next week, quickly identifying and securing the artifact. He would, however, disappear en route to the Warehouse. His remains and the artifact would later be retrieved from Jhamil Haddir's Ashtray in 2014.
Effects[]
When in close proximity to any pair that considers themselves romantically involved the artifact will activate itself. It will wait for the couple to approach or enter the hollow seating cavity, then forcefully expel them outwards with tremendous force. If able, the boat will attempt to orient itself into a position where the the hollow is facing its target.
Storage[]
Due to its proximity-based effect and the force at which is can activate even while contained, the artifact is sequestered in the Dark Vault. A five-meter proximity warning is placed around it and anyone approaching it must do so alone to prevent accidental activation.
