Origin[]
Roger Joseph Ebert (June 18, 1942 – April 4, 2013) was an American film critic, journalist, and screenwriter. He was a film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times from 1967 until his death in 2013. In 1975, Ebert was the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. As of 2010, his reviews were syndicated to more than 200 newspapers in the United States and abroad. Ebert also published more than 20 books and dozens of collections of reviews.
Effect[]
The DVD player requires a DVD to be inserted into a TV to work. When the disc is played, the TV becomes a portal into the film. The user can interact with the characters, and if they are killed in the realm, they will return to the real world. The user will have to abide by that world's physics and laws, but is unable to jump from one movie to another. If the disc is removed and the user is in the world, they will become trapped into the disc.
Trivia[]
Stored with Gene Siskel's Popcorn Bucket as they keep each other calm and inactive when in proximity.
