Origin[]
Roald Amundsen was a polar explorer who led the first expedition to reach the South Pole in 1910, just five weeks ahead of the tragic Terra Nova Expedition led by Captain Scott. In 1926, he was the first expedition leader for the air expedition to the North Pole. Amundsen is therefore recognized as the first person, without dispute, as having reached both poles. He was also the first expedition to travel the Northwest Passage in the Arctic.
In June 1928, while taking part in a rescue mission for the Airship Italia, the plane he was in disappeared. Amundsen was active during the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration among key expedition leaders, in the class of Douglas Mawson, Robert Falcon Scott, and Ernest Shackleton.
Effects[]
No matter their orientation, will only show the South Pole. Staring and turning the adjustments suck the user through the binoculars and teleport them to the South Pole proper.
