"Rip Van Winkle" was a story published in 1819 by Washington Irving. In the story, Rip comes across a group of people who offer him moonshine. After drinking it, he falls asleep for twenty years.
Effects[]
When consumed, this moonshine will cause the drinker to fall into a sleep that lasts indefinitely unless they are forcibly woken up or the artifact (the corked flask) is neutralized. The sleeper(s), while still aging, require no sustenance, nor physical maintenance to keep them alive and healthy.
