Origin[]
Julian of Norwich (1342 - 1416) was an English anchoress and an important Christian mystic and theologian. As an author her first book had been the first in the English language known to have been written by a woman. Through her work she was able to spread the word of God. When she was thirty she was declared to be dying thanks to a plague epidemic. Although she lost her sight and felt numb she held a crucifix to her chest and had a vision of Jesus on the Cross. Over the next several hours she saw sixteen versions of Jesus Christ and when it was over she was completely recovered. Her continued works went on to describe all that happened and then the theological exploration of the meaning of the visions.
Effects[]
Opening a book nearby will cause the fingers to spread apart, unleashing plague across the land. It opens when the statue feels threatened.
Collection[]
