Origin[]
The Red Forest refers to the trees surrounding the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant within the Exclusion Zone. The name 'Red Forest' comes from the ginger-brown colour of the pine trees after they died following the absorption of high levels of radiation from the Chernobyl accident on April 26, 1986. In the post-disaster cleanup operations, the Red Forest was bulldozed and buried in 'waste graveyards'. The site of the Red Forest remains one of the most contaminated areas in the world today. Apart from the one flute made, no other parts of the forest show artifact qualities, indicating that the effects may have been born from the whittling of the flute as opposed to the infamous explosion.
Effect[]
The radioactive disaster gave the wood artifact abilities. When played, the user can teleport anywhere on Earth. However when the user teleports, they do so in a flash of radiation that can contaminate both the surrounding area and the user themselves. Because of this, the flute is not advised to be used unless absolutely no other options remain.
