Origin[]

Author of the novel Spycatcher and former British MI5 agent Peter Wright worked as a counterintellegince officer for several decades in the 20th century. He was noted for identifying the purpose of the "Thing", a small transmitter found inside a commemorative seal presented to the U.S. ambassador in Moscow in 1945. He discovered that it was a tiny condeser microphone, controlled by radio waves. His later work also revolved mostly around acoustics including various cryptoanalysis and detection operations.

Effects[]

This standard MI5 earpiece became imbued with his life's work, allowing the wearer to detect and decode radio signals in the air. The range is vast, and can be amplified, but the effects cannot be turned off. It was once used in the field, but with modern advancements in radio communications it is considered a safety hazard. It can be used around the Warehouse, as it's able to pick up the isolated frequency of the Farnsworths.
