Origin[]
Osiris is identified as the Egyptian god of the dead, the underworld and the afterlife. but also as the god of transition and change. He is depicted in many forms with green skin, a pharaoh's beard, partially mummy-wrapped legs and holdin a crook and flail. Popular legend states Osiris was assassianted by his brother Set and various other conspirators, but Osiris's wife Isis recovered his remains. and the gods reconstituted him. He became transformed into the god of the underworld and rebirth, overseeing the reproduction of life and the judgement of the dead.
One of the of Ennead, Osiris is the son of Nut in the heavens and Geb of the earth, alongside Isis, Nepthys, Set and sometimes Horus the Elder.
Effects[]
The crook, symbolizing Osiris’s rulership over the dead, can allow anyone it touches to uncontrollably transition into a state of living death, where they are consciously in control of their body but demonstrate no biological functions such as breathing, thirst or aging.
The flail, symbolizing the god’s power over fertility and life, can influence agriculture. Striking the flail against any affected by the crook is also the only known method of restoring victims.
