Origin[edit | edit source]
Oscar Hedstrom was co-founder of Indian motorcycles with George Hendee. Before Indian, he made bikes with motors called pacers. The two met each other when Hendee requested him to make a pacer better than others. They eventually went into business together in 1901 with Hedstrom’s designs being inventive and successful. He and Hendee eventually both resigned, Hedstrom because he thought the Board of Directors was doing questionable things to make Indian Motorcycle stocks worth more.
Effects[edit | edit source]
Hedstrom’s gear shift lets a person to be able to create new and better things and come up with completely new ideas. The downside is that companies, mainly the people who work in high-up positions, will not be able to trust or believe anything the person will say or do.
