Origin
Rilakkuma is an anthropomorphic Japanese bear character that appears in books, games and many types of merchandise. It was created by Aki Kondo during her tenure at San-X, who still produce the character to this day. Perhaps the most notable of it's merchandise is a range of plush toys representing the character and it's friends. Rilakkuma's origin involves the character suddenly in a woman's apartment, and then seemingly moving in with her.
Effects[]
The user keeping the plush in their house causes stuffed animals to randomly appear around their house at regular intervals. Although harmless at first, the stuffed animals eventually become sentient, including the Rilakkuma plush, and act like the counterparts they represent. This causes havoc around the owner's home, with huge messes being made and damage caused.
Collection[]
In 2006, reports came in from Kyoto, Japan of a couple's house being destroyed by a stampede of stuffed animals. The agents sent to Japan immediately became aware of the Rilakkuma plush being the artifact, due to the woman in the couple being an avid collector of merchandise. After a frenetic and messy chase, the agents eventually snagged the plush, causing the rest of stuffed animals to stop moving and disappear.
