Origin[]
While many people claimed to have written this Latin American number, Ernesto dos Santos originally registered the song and traditionally is thought to be the writer(However, this is not the case, as another man named Donga is the actual writer). This song holds special claim as the first true samba song produced, and the one that inspired samba to spread beyond traditional Carnival music.
This artifact was the inspiration for the animated Disney film “Saludos Amigos”.
Effects[]
Listening to the song (a phonograph recording, of course), makes whoever is in the vicinity start samba dancing, slowly losing their inhibitions. If the song is not stopped before it ends, the dancers will approach anyone they haven't been completely honest with and come abrasively honest with them.
