Origin[edit | edit source]
Oliver Cromwell was entered the English Civil War on the side of the "Roundheads" or Parliamentarians. Nicknamed "Old Ironsides", he was quickly promoted from leading a single cavalry troop to become one of the principal commanders of the New Model Army, playing an important role in the defeat of the royalist forces. Cromwell was one of the signatories of King Charles I's death warrant and was later chosen to campaign against the subjected Irish. He passed penal laws and land seizures against the Irish Roman Catholics. Parliament then elected him to Lord Protector of the British Isles, where he enacted strict foreign policy. He is favored well in Britain as a leader but seen as a genocide dictator in Ireland and Scotland.
His head was posthumously mounted atop a pole on the roof of Westminster Hall.
Effects[edit | edit source]
Allows the players of the chessboard to become strategic geniuses. The victim eventually loses the capacity to have fun or be around fun; eventually the two battling players break in full on war.
