Nancy Jean Costigan (1929 - 1934) was only five years old when she was brutally murdered by her neighbor, Lawrence Stone. She was discovered to have been shoved down her neighbor's cellar, causing a skull injury knocking her unconscious. Thinking she was dead Stone killed her by placing her in his furnace. Police discovered the body after finding her ball in the cellar.
