OriginEdit

Originally a teacher and dressmaker, Mary Harris Jones became a stalwart workers' rights leader from 1871 until her death. She was considered one of the most powerful women in America due to her ability to unite workers together, especially miners, against their oppressive bosses.

She was especially vocal in her protest of the use of child labor in factories and mines. Despite opposition from wealthy factory and mine owners, and being ignored by the president, she was able to bring the subject of the cruelty of child labor to the forefront of the public's mind.

EffectsEdit

When one reaches inside the purse he/she will find that anything that is required at the moment to care for a child will appear. Using said items gives the user a powerful urge to care for others.

CollectionEdit

Collected from an auction by Jack and Rebecca. During transport Rebecca was accidentally "whammied". Jack had to pull her from the train station after she tried to clean the cheeks of every child with a spit-dabbed tissue.
