Mel Brooks is an American actor and director whose films are characterized by a great amount of parodies, visual puns and general absurdness. He struck his stride in the 1970s with a large spate of award winning comedy movies. Some of his most famous works include Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, History of the World, Part I and Spaceballs.
