Origin[]

The Matroshka Experiments were conducted aboard the International Space Station to study how cosmic radiation would affect the health of space travelers. The model, called the phantom, consisted of several layers of different materials to simulate the differences between skin and organs. Inside rests several passive and active sensors meant to detect collect data during the experiment.

Effects[]

The mannequin is held within several layers of casing, including its own simulation flight suit. When exposed to a concentrated amount of cosmic rays, it will produce its own. The process occurs slowly, although the amount of ions released at any one time is substantially greater than normal. Exposure to its effects over a long period of time will lead to deteriorating health until they are separated.
