OriginEdit

Mary Todd Lincoln was the 16th First Lady of the United States, wife of Abraham Lincoln. Throughout her life she was subjected to much misfortune including the deaths of her sons and the assasination of her husband, which eventually culminated in the decline of her mental health and her commitment to a mental institution. After the death of her first son she looked to Spiritualism to communicate with her children, as well as with her husband years later. As she once wrote to a friend about her sons' ghosts:

“He comes to me every night and stands at the foot of my bed with the same, sweet adorable smile he has always had; he does not always come alone. Little Eddie is sometimes with him.”

Mary was also known for her excessive shopping habits and is known to have bought several hundred pairs of gloves.

EffectsEdit

When a glove is worn, the speaker is able to act as a kind of medium, allowing discarnate entities to speak through them. However, only one glove works on one person for one entity.
