Origin[]
Mary I of England was the only child of King Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon to survive to adulthood. Her half brother Edward VI tried removing her due to religious differences but failed, and she became queen of England and Ireland. As the fourth crowned monarch of the Tudor dynasty, Mary is remembered for her restoration of Roman Catholicism after the short-lived Protestant reign of her half-brother. During her five-year reign, she had over 280 religious dissenters, many Protestant, burned at the stake, which led to the moniker “Bloody Mary." Mary’s actions were later reversed by Elizabeth I, her successor and half-sister.
Effects[]
A rare pearl pendant necklace worn by Mary I, it was infused with Mary's hatred towards the Protestants that drove her to killing. Making eye contact with person wearing the pendant causes sudden paralysis, circulatory shock and affects the victim until they die from cardiac arrest.
