Origin[edit | edit source]
Said to have been the beam that supported the hanging Martyrs of Gorkum in 1572. They were a group of 19 Dutch Catholic clerics and friars who were hanged by militant Dutch Calvinists during the 16th century religious wars in the Low Countries.
Effects[edit | edit source]
Not reciting the Lord’s Prayer after a limited time results in the victims’ neck being snapped. Reciting it from text will let the affected free, although every incorrect word will make the user feel a tight choking sensation.
