Origin[]
Cass Elliot (born Ellen Naomi Cohen; September 19, 1941 – July 29, 1974), also known as Mama Cass, was an American singer, member of The Mamas & the Papas and actress. She was known as the most charismatic and identifiable member of the group, contributing heavily to their most famous songs. After the group broke up, she released five solo albums.
Her solo career was marred by a very bad Vegas performance and confirmed rumors of periodic drug usage. She died of heart failure, although an often repeated urban legend states Elliot choked on a ham sandwich, as one was found by police but there was no evidence of food in her windpipe.
Effects[]
Sealed in an airtight anti-static bag, touching or taking a bite from the sandwich constricts the windpipe and causes asphyxia.
