OriginEdit

The Banqioa Reservior Dam is a dam located on the River Ru in Zhumadian City, Henan province, China. Its failure in 1975 caused more casualties than any other dam failure in history, causing an estimated 171,000 deaths and displacing another 11 million into homeless. Banqioa failed catastrophically when Typhoon Nina flooded the dam with more water than it was designed to handle. To prevent the dam from being destroyed during the storm, several lightning rods were installed to direct the lightning bolts safely away. Witnesses claimed that a bolt struck this rod and instead of glowing white and fading, it appeared to fire the bolt back into the sky, intensifying the storm into a typhoon.

EffectsEdit

When hit by lightning, the rod intensifies nearby storms and weather systems. Turned an average force storm into Typhoon Nina.

Collection and HandlingEdit

Must be kept away from all means of electricity as it will make minor bursts into powerful explosions of chain lightning.
