Born in the midst of 1918, Nixon was too young to participate in the war. Twenty-odd years later, however, he joined the Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He made his way through the second world war, slowly moving up the ranks until he culminated as Captain. By the end of the war, he had amassed several accolades including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Croix de guerre and a Parachutist Badge with three stars. Despite this, he became known for never having fired a shot during combat.
In 1998, Dorothy Dietrich came into possession of the artifact and used it in the first successful bullet catch trick performed by a woman. It's unknown if t's still in her ownership, but given it's rather passive effect it has proven hard to track.

When fired, any bullet from the gun will stop short just before it hits another human. No force seems to be able to make it cause any sort of harm to another sapient being.
