OriginEdit

Constructed in 1880 and finished 500 days later, the Tilamook Rock Light is a lighthouse situated off the Oregon coast. In early January 1881, when the lighthouse was near completion, the barque Lupatia was wrecked near the rock during inclement weather and sank, killing all 16 crew member. The most expensive lighthouse at the time, it was gained the nickname “Terrible Tilly” over the years for its dangerously erratic weather, which caused large amounts of damage to the lighthouse. It was decommissioned in 1957.

EffectsEdit

The last warning that the Lupatia ever saw before it disappeared; these lanterns were imbued with H.S. Wheeler's desire to bring the Lupatia to safety. People who see the lanterns are drawn to them, worshipping the flame. However, they will lose some of their navigation skills and have great difficulty moving in a straight line, much less reaching the lanterns.
