Origin[edit | edit source]
Kanhoji Angre (1669 - 1729) was the first notable chief of the Maratha Navy in 18th century India. Through most of his time on the seas he offered significant competition and damage to the prestige of the colonial powers. At the height of his power Andre commanded hundreds of warships and thousands of sailors at a time shadowing over the Royal Navy who at the time had little in the way of naval resources. Even though he was considered to be nothing but a pirate his naval force eventually became the modern Indian Navy.
Effects[edit | edit source]
Wearing the boots allows the wearer access to all of Angre's sailing prowess. Extended wear leads one to believe they are a pirate that the British labeled him.
