Origins[]
Joseph Polchinski is a scientist working on string theory and has been vocal about the paradoxes that may arise when using a wormhole to send an object back into the past. His example is sending a billiard ball through a wormhole and back in time. When the ball exits the wormhole, it leaves at an angle that knocks its earlier self away, preventing it from entering the wormhole and paradox in the first place.
Effects[]
The ball is one of the few benign artifacts within the Warehouse walls. Its only effect is that it creates a self-recurring loop upon itself.
