Origin[]

John Wesley Hardin (1853 - 1895) was an American, Old West outlaw and gunfighter. From an early age, Hardin got in trouble with the law and was pursued by lawmen for most of his life. In 1871 Hardin was arrested for the murder of a Waco, Texas city marshal. Following his arrest he was supposed to transfer to another prison. While riding on horse he managed to get ahold of a six shooter. During a stop while the officer who was transporting him left him to get food for the horses Hardin managed to shoot him and escape by horse. He was spotted two towns over after two hours of his escape. When he was arrested in 1877 he was attributed to twenty seven murders.
