John Morales was an actor who formerly played the costumed role of McGruff the Crime Dog, teaching children about crime awareness. Police arrested Morales and found he was storing 1,000 marijuana plants, 27 weapons (including a grenade launcher) and 9,000 rounds of ammunition. He pleaded guilty to possession and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
