OriginEdit

John D. Rockefeller was a founder of Standard Oil, one of the most successful companies in the oil industry and the market itself. He revolutionized the field, helping industrialize America with kerosene and gasoline. His company controlled 90% of all US oil at one point, creating one of the first trusts and making him the richest single person in the United States’ history. Highly devout, he believed in the theory “survival of the fittest” applied to business and helped him succeed. His rising wealth continued until the US government broke apart the monopoly Standard Oil held over oil. Afterwards, he would donate great amounts of money to various charities, including colleges, church organizations and medical research.

His son, John D. Rockefeller Jr., was the only son his father had. Jr. became a large financier and prominent philanthropist, continuing some intermediary work with his father’s company.

EffectsEdit

Users will seek to gain large sums of money through any means, even unscrupulous ones. The downside is that they will give portions of it to charitable causes. Many times they cannot physically overcome their body’s desire to give.
