OriginEdit

Recruited by the Dutch to help explore Spitsbergen, Jean Vrolicq was supposed to find whales and other useful resources. He did modestly well for himself, attracting Danish, Basque and even French commissions from Cardinal Richeliu himself. Although chased away from potential whaling sites several times by rival crews, Vrolicq’s ships were never attacked or severely damaged.

Scrimshaw is the art of carving bones and ivory, done mostly by whalers who were not allowed to work at their dangerous profession during nighttime.

EffectsEdit

Sings soothing whale songs, tempering any excitement or anger within listeners. Will transmit extremely clear through the air, although the vibrations are more powerful in water and can produce a Zen-like peace. However, it requires the user to fail in reaching their goals several times before it will serenade. Shimmers with frost when in use, until it solidifies and cracks apart when ready.
