Plot[]

Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre is about the life and hardships of the title character. As an orphaned child, Jane Eyre is first cruelly abused by her aunt before abandoned and sent to a charity school. Thought she meets with further abuse, she receives an education. Eventually she takes a job as a governess at the estate of Edward Rochester. Jane and Rochester begin to bond, but his dark moods trouble her. Jane eventually discovers that even though Rochester proclaims to love her to the point of marriage that he is already wed to Mr. Mason's, a house guest living with Rochester at his manor, sister. In horror Jane flees to India to take up missionary work. Returning to Rochester's estate she discovers that it has burned to the ground, that his ex-wife killed herself and burned it down. Rochester tried to save her only to lose his hand and eyesight. Declaring that he still loves her they wed and Rochester regains his eyesight in time to see his son be born.
