Origin[]

Co-owned by Hilary and Roger Cranston, their company Chicago Classic Catering provided for parties from Cleveland Ohio to the Twin Cities, Michigan. Their signature dessert was a palmier croissant so finely flattened it must have been steamrolled. Samples reached fundraising campaigns for the Iowa State Assembly, prison wardens at Joliet and Menard in Illinois and bridal parties in downtown Indianapolis. Everyone adored it, which made the dissolution of CCC heartbreaking. High interest loans with Mercant Holdings, glorified bookies, made their debts too great to overcome. They closed business in 2008 when the recession wiped them out.

Effects[]

Smothers whatever it rolls against into a uniform sheet, flat as a starched shirt. Just cover end to end to let the object decrease into desired thickness. Also flattens out whatever income they make – no raises, no raffle wins, only a plateau in earnings.
