Origins[]
Hernan Cortez was a conquistador famously remembered for toppling down the Aztec Empire, taking their riches and beginning the Spanish colonization of Mexico. In life, he went to the New World to try and find riches for himself. He stayed in Hispaniola and Cuba for a time, where the governor of Cuba forbade him making trips to the mainland; Cortes ignored him. He formed alliances with the natives, with one, La Malinche, being his translator. He became a noble when he returned home to Spain.
Effects[]
Powered by true greed, branding the signet on a person’s skin will extract all minerals in the person’s body. Those condense as the person's body falls apart into valuables such as gold, silver, and diamonds.
