OriginEdit

Henry Reed Rathborne was a military officer and diplomat present at Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. He was sitting in the balcony alongside his fiancée Clara Harris when John Wilkes Booth entered and shot Lincoln. When Rathbone attempted to prevent Booth from fleeing the scene, Booth stabbed and seriously wounded him. Although he physically healed, he was tormented by the fact he couldn’t prevent Lincoln’s murder. Sent to Germany on a diplomatic position, he suffered a break and stabbed Clara because he suspected infidelity and threats against his children; he later tried stabbing himself. Rathborne was then committed to an asylum for the criminally insane for the rest of his life.

EffectsEdit

Wearing one slowly amplifies the user’s feelings of guilt over past events. They will become greatly distressed and behave more erratically, acting hostile towards others.
