OriginEdit

Henry Clay was a Senator who campaigned several times for presidency, most famously during the “Corrupt Bargain” of the 1824 Election, where he lost the electoral vote but manipulated the House of Representatives to give Clay’s votes to John Quincy Adams so he would beat Clay’s rival Andrew Jackson. Clay was a proponent of the American system, increasing tariffs and industrialization to help the economy grow. He is best remembered for brokering peace during the Nullification Crisis, the Missouri Compromise and the Compromise of 1850, helping stall the Civil War for several decades.

EffectsEdit

Currently in the Smithsonian, it allows the user to effectively negotiate compromises and treaties. It will always work on small issues, but will only delay larger, social problems.

CollectionEdit

Artie has tried several times to snag the hat, but it has been very ‘vocal’ about leaving.
