Origin
Henri Eugene Augustin Le Sidaner (1862 - 1939) was an intimist painter who in the 1870s was known for his garden landscapes. Try as he might he couldn't seem to get his footing in the art world. The only painting he made that gained any traction was his final painting he made just before death, a door leading outside to an unknown world of possibilities. It encases the whole painting, no garden or extra items as in his other pieces. What made this painting special was that looking at for a brief period of time the door seemed to become real.
Effects
Reaching out to the door knob caught in a small trance the knob comes out into the viewer's hand. Once the knob is solid the door can be opened and the viewer can step inside to visit another painting that the viewer was thinking hard about.
The door lingers in the background of every painting they visit, ready for departure. Going through the wrong side will spit the traveler into another piece of nearby artwork rather than the real world.
