Origin[]

Heimdall acts as the security patrolman of Asgard. Little is revealed about Heimdall’s origins or elemental affinity in the surviving Prose and Poetic Eddas. What texts remain commonly assert him as a protector to the godliest realm, and overseer of the nine realms of Norse cosmology. Every sense is attuned to the smallest of movements across any world. He could peer through the night with clarity and hear the strained growth on individual grass blades afar.

When on passive duty, Heimdall enjoys copious draughts of mead in his home Himinbjörg overlooking the visible limits of the Bifrost bridge. Other times he served singular tasks from fellow godheads. Retrieving Frejya’s stolen necklace from a seal transformed Loki, or smuggling Thor into Jötunheimr as a queen to steal back his hammer.

His most well-known role is in signaling the apocalyptic Ragnarök. Foreseen by himself, Heimdall would blare his trumpet Gjallarhorn to alert all across the worlds the end had begun. During the final confrontation, Heimdall and Loki would slay another in combat.

Effects[]

Blowing by a protective guardian such as a security specialist, parental figure or medical practitioner will activate the effects. Use by destructive individuals dissolves them away, while everyone else will be unable to produce the slightest rattle.

Allows for the experience of space in a non-Eucliadean manner. They can travel vast distances with little effort, just as different places can slide past a stationary user like air turbulence. Leads to experiencing scales not conditioned for humans, such as the slow speed of geologic processes or the true vastness of an entire biome. Can be used to plunge into strange locales without warning or danger. Powers appear to continue in a passive state as faraway stimuli, but only true emergency wrought stress can bring active control. Withdrawal from others for long periods to rest with heavy liquid diet is common.

NEVER blow it twice! Causes an alarming amount of time loops to appear everywhere journeyed. Events keep repeating to the moment of visitation, playing out more negatively each time. People turn from rude to antagonistic to violent with enough repetitions. The land begins poisoning itself by summoning natural disasters, blight and pollution to regain temporal equilibrium with the surrounding causality. Eventually everything in the area becomes a husk devoid of all activity, breaking the cycle.
