Origin[]
The Louisiana State Penitentiary also known as the "Alcatraz of the South" is a maximum-security prison farm in Louisiana. It is the largest maximum-security prison in the United States with 6,300 prisoners and 1,800 staff. It is located on an 18,000-acre property. A member of the Heel String Gang carved a comb into a key that was so effective that all the locks had to be changed. A shank whittled out of another comb was used in a riot attempt where several guards were killed in the surprise attack by the three inmates who formed the gang. When attempting to escape, the inmates got lost in the maze-like layout of the prison. The Heel String Gang were also known as Angola 3 consisting of Robert Hillary King, Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox.
Effects[]
When entering close enough will cause chains to wrap around victims like a snake starting from the feet all the way up to the chest. Struggling will cause the shank to sever the Achilles tendon.
