Origin[edit | edit source]
Harry Blackstone (1885 - 1965) was a famed stage magician and illusionist of the 20th century. Blackstone was in the model of courtly, elegant predecessor magicians, the last of the breed in America. He customarily wore white ties and tails when performing and often traveled with large illusions and a decent sized cast of uniformed male and female assistants. Blackstone's main acts were 'Sawing a woman in half' and 'Vanishing bird cage'. His most impressive magical act was the floating light bulb. In a darkened theatre, Blackstone would take a lighted bulb from a lamp and float it, still glowing, through a small hoop. Going into the audience the bulb would float over the heads of the stunned onlookers.
Effects[edit | edit source]
When held, the lightbulb can glow without a power source at the holder's will (even when wearing Neutralizer gloves), and can levitate in place in the air when released.
